What do I offer
I offer personalised 1-to-1 maths tutoring in Bury St Edmunds and the surrounding areas, supporting learners from primary (KS1) through to GCSE.
Most learners have one session per week (around 1 hour), allowing for steady progress and time to build confidence. If needed, I can also offer additional sessions, particularly in the lead-up to exams or when extra support is needed.
Sessions are tailored to each individual, whether the goal is building confidence, catching up, preparing for exams, or simply making maths feel clearer and less overwhelming.
I provide a calm, supportive environment where learners can ask questions, take their time, and develop a real understanding, without pressure or judgement.
About Mollie
I’m Mollie, a qualified maths tutor with over 5 years of experience supporting learners from primary through to GCSE.
I take a calm, supportive and respectful approach, adapting my teaching to suit each individual. I believe every learner is different, and my focus is on helping maths make sense in a way that works for them, building confidence, reducing stress, and supporting steady progress over time.
Over the years, I’ve found real enjoyment in tutoring and seeing the difference it can make. Whether it’s a learner gaining confidence, starting to understand topics that once felt impossible, or simply feeling more comfortable with maths, that progress is what motivates me.
I hold professional qualifications in education, tutoring, and coaching, and I’m a member of The Tutors’ Association, demonstrating my commitment to high standards and ongoing professional development.
Alongside my tutoring, I also worked on a Suffolk County Council project as a Numeracy Coach, supporting adults to build confidence with maths in everyday life.
My background in mathematics comes from studying Combined STEM at university, specialising in mathematics.
