Home Schooling

Are you a home schooling family looking for maths support?

I have a strong personal connection to home education, having been home educated myself alongside my brothers. I grew up in a vibrant and active home ed community, regularly attending local groups and learning in a flexible, supportive environment.

Because of this, I understand that home education isn’t one-size-fits-all—and maths support shouldn’t be either.

Over the years, I’ve worked with many home-educated learners, who have made up the majority of my students, so I’m very familiar with the different approaches, routines, and flexibility that home education involves. I also have experience supporting learners with SEND, and I take care to adapt my teaching to suit each individual’s needs, pace, and way of understanding.

I can provide structured maths teaching across the full curriculum, rather than just supporting alongside school. Whether your child is working towards Key Stage levels, GCSEs, or following a more personalised learning path, I adapt lessons to suit their needs and goals.

Sessions are flexible and shaped around the learner. We can take things step by step, spend more time where needed, or move quickly through topics when things click. Homework can be set if helpful, or we can keep everything within sessions, whatever works best for your child and your approach to learning.

I can also support with exam preparation and different qualification routes, helping learners feel confident and well-prepared when the time comes.

My aim is to create a calm, supportive environment where children feel comfortable, understood, and able to learn in a way that works for them, just as home education is meant to be.
